Hello, Comradery Supporters!
Soft Chaos coming at you with another update from our journey with Strangers on the ‘Net. With our Gamefound campaign launch getting closer and closer, we wanted to share a couple of updates
UPDATE ONE: PODCAST APPEARANCE
We were lucky enough to be featured guests on the Character Creation Cast (a podcast with an amazing concept– they do the best part of TTRPGs every week: making new characters!).
Over the course of 4 episodes, we created characters for a game of Stranger on the ‘Net and a world for them to play in! It was a blast to join Ryan Boelter and Amelia Antrim in creating fictional teenagers, the people they were pretending to be online, and the fictional characters they were playing in their online fan forum. Drama and crushes abound.
Episode One: Learn all about the history of the game. The team dives into character creation by picking our fandom and naming our teens!
Episode Two: The team finishes creating their characters as well as their character’s characters, as well as our character’s character’s made-up fandom series! (how meta!)
Episode Three: We talk about the business side of TTRPGs as well as start to get into our thoughts on how the character creation process went for this game!
Episode Four: The team finishes their discussion with Allison and spill the tea about their characters’ possible interactions in their fanfic portion!
We hope you enjoy the podcast – we certainly did!
UPDATE TWO: YOU (YES YOU) CAN PLAY STRANGERS ON THE 'NET!
Another exciting update: Strangers on the ‘Net was commissioned for a theatre festival and has been run many times with a ticket charge, but, to promote it for the campaign, we will be running 3 games for free! We’re currently opening up registration exclusively to folks who follow us on Comradery, Gamefound or Discord, and you can register here to play. Spots are pretty limited and we’ll be opening the registration up more publicly next week, so if you’re interested be sure to grab your spot!
We hope to find people who might be interested in streaming the game, or media who would be interested in covering a game – so if you know of anyone, please reach out!
And finally, if you haven’t yet, following our campaign is also a great way to support us – the more followers we have when we launch, the more visibility the project has.
<3 See you online <3
