Hello Comrades!
Allison here, writing on behalf of Soft Chaos. We just wanted to put together a quick post to let you know that we haven’t forgotten about you, and to get you excited about what we’ve been up to for the last 6 months (which we will be able to share fully soon).
Firstly: We have been working on creating a full game from scratch with not-for-profit Egale, which will be available for free online! It is a game to teach primary students about diverse (specifically queer) families, and we’re excited for you to be able to play it and let us know what you think. The game is complete, and we’re doing some final playtesting and debugging so should be able to share it before fall.
Secondly: We have an office space now and should be moving in over the summer (we’ve already dropped by to do some mural painting). It’s been a couple of years in the making, with a lot of behind-the-scenes work and support from amazing people to create the super cool space we’ll be moving into (in a building with many other cooperatives!). More details and an office tour to come once everything is set up
Thirdly: I am getting married in less than a month, and all of Soft Chaos is in the bridal party! So expect a couple of game-design-focused “What happens when your bridal party is full of game designers” posts ; )
Yes, there is a subtle Sailor Moon theme to the wedding...
