Hello!

Happy new year and all'a that. I recently went to a co-op meeting where the check-in question was 'what's your theme for the new year?' and i've decided my theme is: take it easy, but take it.

An ink and pencil drawing of the racoon and dog characters from above. They're arguing, and Cramsey is hunched over and crying while snarling, and the dog looks mocking.

After some significant disruptions of my entire life, I'm back to chugging along on comic book. I've made a plan for how I am going to finish in time, and that plan is essentially: thumb 7 pages a day for the next 2-3 weeks, and pencil 3 pages a day for the next two months, then ink 3 pages a day for the two months after that. which is 1. totally doable and 2. AAAAAAAAAAAA

A sheet of thumbnails done in pencil. The drawings are much too loose and scribbly to really tell what's going on.

But so far i've been (more or less) keeping up with it, and this plan has some buffer time built in, so! next 4 months, come and get me!

i'm more than halfway done with thumbs, and penciling is going good! my original plan was to COMPLETELY finish thumbs before starting penciling and then COMPLETELY finishing penciling before starting inking. but, i have realized, that plan is foolish, and i need not stick to it, and doing two things at the same time is actually way better for my brain.

anyways, here's some pencilled pages! yay! fun!

A page labeled 7. It shows Cramsey crawling under and climbing over word bubbles on their way to a table, where they collapse while grunting. They look tired and disheveled. Page 8. Cramsey has their face buried in the arm resting on the table. They're glaring at someone off-panel. Then we see their brother, Buddy, pouring milk into their cereal bowl. A close-up panel of Cramsey going 'pfft' and saying 'no.' then a panel of them looking smug and saying something. The word bubbles are all empty.

Page 9. Buddy looks smug while saying something, then looking delighted as he says something else ending with the word 'coffee.' Cramsey looks behind them to see a coffee machine, then turns back to Buddy and holds their hands up like they're praying and says 'ur a hero.' Page 10. Cramsey sniffs the coffee pot, then turns to Buddy with an excited expression. Buddy nods. Cramsey looks excited while they pour and then sip the coffee. Buddy says something, and then Cramsey looks annoyed, and their ears twitch as they say 'mm-hm.' Page 12. Cramsey yells 'WHAT' with a full mouth, spitting out a bit of cereal. Then they cross their arms and continue to protest. Buddy says something while Cramsey glares at him, then they turn away and mutter something while Buddy pours a cup of coffee.
