I was invited to join the FlameCon 2023 Stamp Rally! This one is being organized by Olivia F., who is great. If you don't know what the Stamp Rally is, here it is in her own words:
"...Stamp Rally is like Artist Alley Bingo! It's a fun activity that involves seeking out different artists/vendors in a convention setting and collecting the stamps from every table. Once all the stamps have been collected, the participant is rewarded with prizes. The prizes can vary by table, some artists may also choose not to offer a prize. It's still a great way to incentivize attendees to explore the con, check out new artists and support them."
I have an iconic logo I've been using for the past few years, but for the rally I decided I wanted to make a new version. First, I started with a rough pencil sketch in my sketchbook (below on the left), which I then scanned in and blew up larger (on the right).
Next I traced the sketch using my light table to create a cleaner pencil stage (on the left). Then I traced it again in inks (on the right). I did a little editing in Photoshop, and then bam! We're done!

I am making a couple other special things for the show which I'll be sharing here soon, as well as getting everything ready for Charger County to launch into the world.
