Image description: A screencap of a smudgy frame of a VHS video of a very 1970s brown and avocado kitchen, a dachshund looking up hopefully at a person by the fridge. The person has been drawn over in simple flat colour and contrasting outline, so they look like a dark green insect wearing baggy pastel gym clothes. End ID.

Frankly stunned I was able to do more than sweat and complain this week, but dang, I did!

  • I started "sketching" out the framework for another little game in Decker. As part of this year's plan to "just finish projects" one of this month's goals is whacking together a story game I've had diagrammed out for a bit. I just could not get it to work the way I wanted in Twine (file last touched: last year, lol) but I think Decker has the right vibes for it.
  • The blogpost this week is just a normal blogpost about how it is hot. Reminding myself I can just blog vibes and feelings and not always have An Image or A Point.
  • Finally figured out the right process/workflow for a rotoscoping thing I'm trying (see image for post). It's actually been a pretty enjoyable way to spend time while being too warm, I don't have to put many thinks into it. -Continuing my daily writing best I can. The goal is always "ten minutes at least" and sometimes that nets me like 250 words and sometimes that nets me 75 but it's SOMETHING and that's something, you know?
  • Also getting some progress on the next month's newsletter (here's a link to September, if you missed it)

I think, overall, not bad tally of things done for a week that got up to like 107-110f with a "feels like" of higher thanks to humidity. Thank you, as always, for your support!
