Image description: A photo of an orange, still green on the tree. Another, wrinkly and misshapen orange is growing from a crater in the side of it. End ID.
One of the markers of autumn are the oranges, hard little green ones being rejected early, the rest slowly warming in colour until they're ready in winter. And, for one orange tree by us anyway, horrorshows that are the result of breeding navel oranges to not have seeds. This tree didn't always be this creative in how its oranges didn't work out, but I suppose it is having fun as it gets older.
Some things done this week:
- Working on next month's newsletter.
- Blogpost this week was just a tab cleanout, replete with links, which I hadn't done in a while. It'd been so hot though I was just... not really in the brainspace for more than opening things to look at later.
- Continuing to work on this rotoscope. I think I'm four seconds into a 14 second clip, which isn't nothing!
- Continuing to write on this book, chipping away continually in these 10-20 minute daily sessions.
- Making something for the upcoming holiday, my yearly Important Craft that is just for me so I don't share it (or much, at least).
- Signed up for Yuletide! This will be my third year and I've switched up my fandoms for it, I'm excited.
Oh, also I mended Chase's slippers, there is something very wonderful always about mending something you've made. This thing just keeps going! My most favourite shorts I apparently made about a year ago and here we are, I forget my own silly hands put them together in the day-to-day of wearing them.
Thank you as always for your support! Looking forward to having a steadily cool week and regaining the brain I am still rebuilding from the hot-hot days.
