Writing continues to go apace. Some nights I only get like 10-15 minutes at it (the cost of having so many small things going on while also trying to keep room for chilling out), but I get the words down every time. It really is a muscle, which I know but always still surprises me. Did I mention that most of the time I write very chronologically, very A-to-B-to-C-to etc., but that this time I very am not? It is going pretty fun. Things are pretty well planned out (to a degree!), so I was like, why not try something different.
- A fun blog post this week, courtesy of a game played in the family discord: can you fill the whole alphabet with things like "sword and sorcery" or "might and magic"?
- I've got two kinda-seasonal stories queued up to post this month, from last year's Ominous October challenge. The first is up: The Fourth Step, about changelings and curses. Drew a header illustration for it and everything.
- The pair of shorts I started making last week I finished up this week, just in time for a bit of a cold snap. But the days can still be warm between the cold nights so they've been getting use. It's really nice to be able to make clothing! I am trying to do it more.
- I finished the next monthly newsletter, hooray. Lol, every time I do this I am like: "and this time I'll get ahead in the queue some!" We will see, self.
- I am now all signed up for Yuletide 2025, hooray. I think I'm going to look for more fandom exchanges in 2026, but we'll see how that shakes out. I love An Assignment though.
