Hot again, I'm evil again. It's a dry heat this time though, which I do appreciate. There is space at night for the air to cool, it's not all filled up with water holding on to the last shreds of the day's warmth. We're at the time of year when we get lizards sleepily dragging themselves beneath our doorstop like they're coming back to their hostel after being out too late partying (eating crickets). It makes leaving the apartment at night a dancing step situation to not trod on any lazy tails.
Two big things done this week, both goals I'd wanted to get done this month--and I did so huzzah. That the last week of Setember bleeds into October means nothing as far as "finishing the goal within the month," because time is what I decide.
First: I made another game using Decker that you can play for free in your browser over on Itchio, The House, an adaptation of La casa de Asterión by Jorge Luis Borges. It's something I've wanted to do for a while yet never did, and I'm very happy with how I've finally crossed it off my list. If you're interested in the background (and how long I've been wanting to do this project), this week's blogpost has fun stuff like the original diagram for the game.
Second: In the general theme of "stop leaving things undone" I wanted to knock some fanfic flash out this year and cross off ideas that had been sitting on scraps of paper for ages. Thanks to my always wonderful family discord I was bullied encouraged to jot out a Gonzo/Lady Kluck bit of whimsy, see it makes perfect sense if you assume Gonzo is Merlin from Sword In The Stone. Anyway, I also drew something for it and you can read it over here.
Along with all of that were little normal things like adding the new game to my site, cleaning my inbox, queueing up reblogs of my monster playlist posts for the upcoming month. Oh, and not absolutely melting in 100f+ heat.
I think: not a bad week.
Thank you, as always, for your support!
