It's November somehow! And my autumnal week off somehow! It is funny how your body learns a calendar--like how even now, decades past school schedules I still feel the antsy itch of summer as it approaches, or that my body knows it's time for a ten minute break every two hours because I was in service and warehouses most of my life. So, anyway, I've been doing a week off each spring and fall for ages and my muscles wait in anticipation with the seasons.

A week-off project ate a lot of time for me this week: I'm going to be sewing the Madrone pants from Sew Liberated and they're very cool but involve a LOT of pieces. And I have about a yard by two space to lay things out in for fabric cutting. But! It is done. Here's what else the week held:

  • Tidying for the holiday, which I gotta say! Pulling things out to wipe everything down before putting things back (and putting away the things that don't belong) can feel amazing.
  • The blog post for this week was about the latest little zine thing, because I love having too much going on.
  • I posted an old seasonal-vibes short story every week in October, most of which I shared last year but I also pulled one out that had only ever been shared as an ebook on Itch. I even drew a picture for it!, it's about omens and friendship.
  • Worked on the rotoscope project some. -Got the newsletter all readied for tomorrow.

I did NOT write as much as I wanted which is! Okay!! I also gotta put a blog post up today to keep my "weekly" streak, silly but it means something, you know?

Anyway, expect next week's update to be even more boring, because I am mostly tidying around the house and playing video games this fine week off. Thank you, as always, for your support!
