I keep telling myself I'll remember this week to take more photos of things, so I have some image to share with these updates (and so that, if nobody clicks through to read a little update, they at least get something fun to look at). But then I forget, and I open my cameraroll and see just, dozens of screencaps of whatever book I'm reading.
I don't always screencap what I'm reading but I do if:
- It's a non-fiction I want to reference
- There are passages I want to share with friends
As part of my monthly file-archiving I actually do move all the screencaps (well, duplicate them) into folders for what books they are and I actually do reference them. This most recent run of screencaps was My Life With Cleopatra by Walter Wagner, which is a RIDE. This was one of those books where you are sharing bits from it with multiple people, different streams of "holy shit wtf."
All that to say I don't have a photo to share with this week's update, hence the off-handed drawing.
I have been having some hand trouble, so I've had to skip one of the things I wanted to work on so that I could rest the stupid thing, but other stuff done:
- Back in the daily writing game on my longer project, though not in word count so much as plotting.
- The blog post this week has some peeks at how I organise story ideas, spoiler: it's office supply-heavy.
- The big project this month is editing a process video from a (very) old project. I got through all the clips and logged them in a spreadsheet. The aim is to make this one nice and short tbh.
Doesn't seem like much in a list, but it never does, does it? I also got all the laundry folded, put away, and hung on the same day so actually that's a notable accomplishment.
