This was one of those weeks where I felt I got nothing done although I did. Beyond life things like file and backup management, or finding the perfect box to mail something in (proving, yes: always worth it to keep that decent box) I redid and cleaned up my list of Acme products from Looney Tunes.

There's not like, a great list of Acme products--one is pretty thorough but is missing a lot of later items, and is now only available as a wayback machine link. The others I've found are partial, and part of the greater annoying Fandom-Wikia mess. So! My I turn to my beloved spreadsheets to consolidate. The bulk of it is done but now honestly I'm cross-referencing episode summaries because I found inconsistencies and want to just lock in a list I don't have to think about again.

Why am I doing this? Reasons. But also because that's what I do, it makes my brain feel nice.

I also painted some little charms with two of Wile E. Coyote's bits of mural work. That was just for funsies.

Anyway, feeling like I have done nothing in a span of time while actually having Done Stuff is a common affliction of mine. I keep, actually, a list (yes, its in a spreadsheet) of basically projects of note that I've done and shared online. Because I would otherwise (and have otherwise) finished a year feeling like I've done nothing, made nothing, scammed the lovely people who give me money monthly via Patreon and Comradery. So, for my benefit and as a nice little public post of the kind of bullshit you get to hear about first please enjoy the list of what I've done (that I remembered to write down) in 2025 so far.

  • The yearly holiday card, which is always an illustration of some type, sent in about an edition of 40-50.
  • Book gifts and more book gifts, pamphlet binds of short stories sent to family. Bookbinding, text layout, covers, etc.
  • The incredibly niche fanbinding of Tamsyn Muir's The Unwanted Guest as a Samuel French script. This one has gone off a bit on Tumblr a couple times. WHO WOULD HAVE GUESSED there's a theatre nerd and TLT crossover.
  • I truly finished my Labours of the Month project, then just never promoted it. Basically twelve rather involved illustrations in the conceptual style of those found in Books of Hours, but updated in various ways. I actually spent so much time on these and then just... forgot about them when I was done. You can grab 'em for free though at that link. There's a whole explanatory text file and everything with them.
  • I participated in Hourly Comics Day.
  • Would you like to watch me put together a Papier-mâché dice tower while I quietly ramble? It's fully captioned which is a TRIAL because I drawl. The video is so old I have long nails in it. But it's done.
  • For the Ides of March I unearthed a video from high school where I summarise the play using toys. It's blisteringly embarrassing, and you can just go watch it.
  • I made a fan site for Otter*Pops, those tube-popsicles.
  • The nostalgic cartoon character three-card draw tarot sticker set was finished with The Bird's Judgement. My personal thematic favourite.
  • The latest flash fiction collection of mine is available on Itch with all the rest. This is my fourth year completing it and I pick the best 10 of all 28 stories and collect them with illustrations for each. I also share my favourite four of the previous year's top ten, which you can read here on my blog.
  • I drew Neil banging out the tunes and I remain delighted by it.
  • This is the second year I've kept a monthly newsletter and I have actually collected the first six into zines you can purchase and they're kind of dope, frankly.
  • Speaking of zines, I also made a supplement for Fallout: New Vegas that collects all the campfire recipes (and some workbench ones) so you can remember wtf is worth keeping when you press up against your weight limit. 100% saved my ass this Honest Hearts playthrough.
  • I participated in Make A Terrible Comic Day, because it's mandatory but also it is fun.

Plus I've: submitted to an agent a couple times (one is still out in the wind), finished a banging short story that has been rejected three times and if the next place rejects it then we all get to read it. I did a hell of a fanbind that involved hunting down an almost impossible to find paper type. I'm in the middle of another short story that is a gift for a friend--my first proper fanfic of the year, tbh.

Oh, and I finished (re)serialising my old book from 2017. You can find the pitch, table of contents, content warnings, etc here.

I think!! NOT BAD. I've also maintained my silly little human body and cared for my family and looked at animals and plants. Cooked some good zucchini. I am, btw, straight up bragging. Because I'm proud of myself and it's absolutely okay to be so. Perhaps even a bit vital to find the joys and lock on. It's nice to gas oneself up a bit once in a while and frankly one often needs the gas to keep going, right? My big tip honestly is: write down the neat stuff you do, small or big. You'll forget and it's nice to look at the list and remember: hey! wow!

Thanks as always for your support!
