A really fruitful week, to me at least. Also this weekend we went to the gardens and made some sun/nature prints thanks to a thoughtful gift from a friend.

  • Set up the next newsletter zine, I'd caught up at one point and moved on to other projects, but now I need to catch up again. I think (if my math is correct) that after I'm caught up this time I'll have a fresh batch of six shareable on Itch (though hardcopies of more than just the first six are available in my shop).
  • Speaking of newsletters, have February's done already, fingers crossed I can keep this up, I really prefer having several in the can.
  • Began plotting out how I'm going to handle a Big Project for the year. Hooray for folks who subscribe--you'll be seeing private posts again with some fun stuff.
  • Totally just a personal win: helped a friend with a spreasheet problem.
  • I've been sharing the first sentence of my current WIP for each writing session (gathered on Tumblr in an obvious tag). Although I write every day I'm not writing on that project every day, most of what's in there is from last year's Flash Fiction February. I have learned this fun and cool WIP sharing method from the always delightful Zilla, so check her much more impressive archive of first lines out.
  • This year I am approaching my fibre arts goals with Bingo, the square I'm aiming at for this month is "Finish a WIP that's been lingering for over a year" and we won't talk about how long this t-shirt scrap quilt has been sitting half done, but.

This week's blogpost is about books read in December. A goal for 2026 is to do a monthly "did-read" post, we'll see how I do.

Okay, that's if for the week! Thank you as always for your support.
