My low-key obsession with instrumental/bardcore DID taper off in September, surprisingly. A goodly bit of 2000's 2010's nostalgia here, with some key songs from various project playlists sprinkled in. I was really worried it wouldn't all hang together but in the end I think I got it. Ending with a song used a lot by Little Tunny for videos of their cat, Breakfast Sandwich, somehow did the trick.
September was strange because I started a new position at work, which ate a lot of brain (hence very little creative done) but did need some specific vibes from music while doing work. Yet, this conglomeration of songs did the trick. Somehow.
Near the end of the month Chase reminded me of Jagged Little Pill, so that's the cover, but while I was saving the file I used the word "Sept" which made me think of the Gideon the Ninth and Harrow the Ninth re-reads I'm in the midst of, so then this happened.
As we go into Q3, I do need to note I have a spreadsheet with all of the tracklists and I'm super curious to see not only which artists got the most play but what songs were constants. GRAPHS maybe.
