Image description: A hand holding open a zine, showing the end of some text, fingers framing a drawing of two birds in the "Flintstones Animal Appliance" style. A parrotsaurus is leaning against its perch, asking the birdasaurus chiselling below it: "You got that?" The birdasaurus replies "Shopping list updated!" End ID.

If its not obvious, I actually ended up not doing Yeehawgust, which is fine, I do love following it thought. I did find another market for a short story. Lol, I am well determined to give it the old college try. It's so much easier to just put them online and let people read them as they will. Ah well.

This was my first full week with the new planner/tracker system and it's going wonderfully. The tl;dr of it is looking at what I need/want to get done in a month, breaking that into weekly chunks, then breaking that into daily chunks. The fresh list of to-do every day (rather than a longer one for the week) seems to be keeping me on track. I also brought back "rewards," a practise from a planner system a long time ago.

I was explaining to my bff about how actually they should be small goals/small rewards because you run the danger of building something up too much, or making a hurdle too high. This week I'm making a stupid little plastic bead bracelet, I'm very excited. Things done:

  • Done with a fresh zine collection of newsletter--I'd like to get two more done (total of 6), which should get me a year's worth, before I pop the digitals on Itch (you'll get a code for download then).
  • This means I've also made a puzzle (cryptogram) and a maze to go in this one. Plus a bonus story illustration (see above).
  • I've got part of next month's newsletter done (yay!).
  • I moved some short story beginnings from texts to myself to Ellipsus, so I will actually continue them.
  • I sorted a big basket that had become a dumping spot.

Also we're moving music streamers (Qobuz now, where I can buy and download DRM free tracks from artists who don't have their shit available to buy on Bandcamp), so there was a goodly bit of tracking down like, Ranchera tracks that didn't have clean enough metadata to make the transfer from one streamer to another cleanly.

Not a bad week, fingers crossed for momentum. Thank you as always for your support!
