If you also follow me on Bluesky or Tumblr you may have noticed me mentioning editing auto-captions. That's right! I finally added narration to video that follows the process decorating a home-made dice tower. The video that was made in 2021!!
We're finishing projects this year!
I let YouTube do its auto caption thing while the video was private, then went and edited them so they're logical and more or less timed better. Turns out, if you have a bit of a drawl then wow a lot of words do not get "read" right by the auto process. Also it's nice to have nice captions. I backed the whole thing with some like, some old wind or ocean sound recordings I'd done to fill dead space because I tend to trail off a bit.
Don't expect these that often, my setup is not made for documenting process any more and I've only one more ancient video to unearth and edit in the horrible, dark and abandoned archives. But it was fun and I'm glad to finally put this to bed. It's been on to-do lists a horribly long time.
