January! A new year of playlists. A new spreadsheet, with improved setup after a year of doing it.
I love playlists curated by people who are knowledgeable or passionate about something, whether it's a genre or a character. This post on tumblr links to a playlist that's a crash course on hip hop and has a GREAT annotated timeline to accompany it. This month's playlist has 'Sound of da Police' by KRS-One on it, one of those songs that is always good as you remember and always a fucking vibe.
Mostly January's playlist vibe is indulgence, it's all songs I enjoy without as much of a throughline. Though I did go on a bit of a The Monkees kick and several songs were ones I encountered watching the new Willow series (which is fun but the music choices are super interesting!).
