Yes, I have been gone a bit, sorry! Let's just move past that quickly and to this month's playlist.
A couple of songs on here arrived via hearing them on things. Mika was a host on this year's Eurovision and I hadn't heard his work before, though I've since learned that 'Grace Kelly' was a pretty popular sound on TikTok for a minute. The Flamingos' 'I Only Have Eyes for You' was on the interesting concept/messy execution series Outer Range (you know those shows that need to be a movie because you can suspend your need for a coherent story while you're in the throes of watching a film but having to come back to it each week really gives you too much time to think? that) and there is really nothing like it on the reverb front, it's haunting! It got me looking back over all the mid-century stuff I listened to as a kid and realising what a straight line it was to what I like now.
