content — rich people mention, mention of s*ttler-c*lonizer g*n*cide, brief mention of s**cidality, talk of G-d & spirituality

last summer, i had a conversation with somebody about billionaires. i said that i don't think the richest people in the world are happy. they disagreed.
it's a difference in values, i think. sure, they have their basic needs met — obviously, way more than they actually need (so are their needs even *truly* "met", imo?). they have their status signalling of burning poison to launch themselves out of the earth's atmosphere, their status signalling of owning yachts powered by burning poison and owning private jets powered by burning poison and owning islands stolen by means of genocide from human beings with less global systemic power and owning countless human beings and their lives (read: servants ("assistants", "maids" cleaning staff, "babysitters" caretakers "child care"), but also all their other employees, too — the actual workers who make them the billions.), and whatever the else rich people do.
but is that happiness?
am i any happier than anybody else? obviously not lol. (*maybe?*)
am i happier than rich people?
honestly, i think i am.
i think i, somebody who thinks a million times at once about killing myself basically every second of every day for almost every single day of the past almost 30 years, am happier than **ff b****.
i don't know if i'm an atheist or not or an atheist or anymore. but i used to believe in God — not any specific religion's God, but gOD. (if my talk of God offends you, look away now for your own sake.)
but i do believe that hurting other human beings tarnishes your soul. and not in some woo-woo, white woman hippie way. that you are causing your own body damage, when you hurt other people. because we are *all*, like it or not, part of the same world. the same ecosystem, the same environment. the same *universe*. even if you try to run away to a factually uninhabitable for human beings far far away (is)land like Mars.
you had to get there from here, bc we all still live in the same world. universe world, not planet world.
when rich people harm the planet, the world, the *universe* — they are harming themselves. bc they are destroying their *own* home. and i believe that the weight of that destruction will stay with them if they try to "escape" to Mars, don't you worry.
Mars is factually uninhabitable for human beings anyway lol
we are all breathing toxic air. all of us can now get covid-19 from entering an *empty* room, if the air wasn't completely purified after somebody carrying covid-19 breathed in it previously.
because covid-19 is like cigarette smoke, spreads like cigarette smoke. it stays in the air, it stays in the room, it stays within the car, it blows into people's faces even when you're outside, it blows and dissipates across the street.
your soul lives in your body. it's a part of you. and you hurt yourself when you hurt other beings.
last year, i learned that the concept of karma is actually used in india as a justification for the inhumanely unjust caste system.
but oh, how white westerners, with their own inhumanely unjust caste systems, have twisted it.
you don't have to believe me when i talk about souls. honestly, i'd rather you don't. i'd rather you think for yourself. don't listen to me. really.
