OK maybe this looks bad, but tbh I've spent my whole life with a dozen projects in various stages of development and serious pursuit, and I'm just kind of going with it, because it's getting me more results than if I tried to commit to 1 thing and made it feel like an obligation before it was even out of pre-production, and eventually sour on it for way longer than if I just let it cook in my head for a few months while I focus on another thing for a little while.
I have a very cute girlfriend who is very good at Ren'py and brought to my attention a Yuri Game Jam with an early December deadline, and it just so happens we were already kicking around an gay as fuck story about cute girls! So there will probably be no significant development of Three Hares: Liberty for the rest of 2023.
However, if we actually manage to finish our gay little game for gay girls, I'm confident that will be a BIG confidence and experience boost I can take into 2024, where hopefully we'll be living together in a bigger house where we can split the rent as opposed to small apartments we can barely afford on our own and my spouse can continue staying at home with the kiddo and working on their own art and streaming. If we can pull off even a non-ideal version of this set-up that will be a much better environment to live and create in, and hopefully I can get back to some real work on this game!
