I'm sitting down for the first time in a while to do some serious work on LIBERTY. Mainly compiling all my disparate notes and scribbles and bits of writing and whipping up a little test proposal to show my other baby gamedev friend and get her thoughts on it.
Masahiro "Kirby's Dad" Sakurai's YouTube channel where he gives little bitesized tedtalks of his years of game making wisdom and experience has been an indispensable resource for feeling like this is an achievable goal as long as I'm smart about it and stick to a plan.
I've focused so hard on getting my shit together in my day-to-day life, but I've never stopped wanting to work on this in all that time. Now I think I'm finally in a safe place for me to commit time in my day toward LIBERTY without feeling like I'm ignoring all these metaphorical fires around me that beg to be put out.
I just edited the subscription tiers to only have the $1 as a basic show of support, as I can't really promise a lot of subscriber-tier exclusive WIP content right now. Even the banner art I made for this site is not gonna be the final logo, just based on Alexander's latest concept art I've been picking at lmao.
Also, unrelated, I've been learning Spanish. It's going well, I'm a hit with the spanish-speaking customers at my day job.
