To Make A Video'd Game, You Must First Clean Your Damn Room

When Comradery emailed me asking to, basically, pitch them a project so I could be an early alpha-test creator on the site, a younger me might have not replied because "Oh, I don't have anything ready." I'll be the first to admit this game is in Early pre-production, so it'll be a while before I even have, like, a Teaser trailer. But the whole reason they were emailing me is because I signed up with the site a year ago and wanted them to let me know if I wanted to be a part of this, and I did then and still do now, so I shook off my anxiety and said "Sure, I have a game I'm making" and we touched base and alleviated All my worries.

So yeah, for right now I'm still working on my day-job/home-life/art-time balance. Setting up my work desk, trying (and still failing) to get up earlier, and worst of all Keeping Things Tidy So I Dont Lose My Shit. See, I have a typical brain-cocktail of ADHD/Autism/Depression, so 1. I Need my living space to be at least a Little tidy but 2. Do Not Have the mental focus or drive to keep it consistently clean. My wife is very much the same. So we've pretty much been exclusively keeping our heads above water just to keep things messy Enough to where the baby and dogs can like. Move around comfortably. OUR bedroom and workspaces tho? Forget about it. Awful. And every time we clean one thing the thing we Just cleaned gets messy again.

But my desk is finally in a Manageable state AND I even got a nice markerboard/corkboared combo in the wall in front of it. My main obstacle now is sorting out my room so I can actually like. Feel Good Enough about my surroundings to drag my ass outta the comfy bed in the morning lol.

This isn't to say I've done NO work on the game? It's just a lot of disparate lore notes, rough rough doodles, and play-testing basic mechanics in GB Studio. Nothing I can Show, but now I feel in a much better place to build off of these 3 things and give you regular updates instead of my pre-Comradery work schedule which was "*SHRUG* Meh, whenever I can get the time."

So since I'm a solo dev, while it is a relatively small game I DO still need to do every single stage of it, so the next step is planning a rough outline of what I need to, like...Do.

*does that real quick*

..........hEY you guys hear about Video Gamess? They uh... they're hardd

Love you,
