Good morning, creatures, cryptids, and curious readers! I figured it was about time for another little update, so we can keep things a bit lively over here! ;3
Originally, this update was supposed to go out in October, so some of the news in here is old hat (for me, at least!) My apologies that it never got posted, but uh...life finds ways to keep me busy. More on that in a sec! But first...
Wonderful news! I've finally pared down the next chapter into it's final page count - the next installment will be 70 pages long!
I'd love to get to a point where I can post 2 pages a week instead of one, because I'm just as eager to get this out to you all as you are to read it, I'm sure! It's a sizeable chunk of time I'd have to set aside each week in order to make that happen, though, so until I'm able to make that financially viable, it'll be a page a week once things kick off!
Is there a date in sight for Chapter 2's launch? Unfortunately, not yet - I'm still just skimming by on commission work, and I've reached a point where I've maxed out how fast I can work! Unlike the capitalist delusions of infinite growth, my work speed and output has a limit, and that limit simply isn't enough to keep up with the rising cost of living without me dedicating most of my time and energy to it.
Life update? Yeah! If you've kept up with my social media accounts in the last couple months, you probably heard about my recent gender-affirming top surgery! I've been in recovery all of December, and thus took a break from work. As of today it's been 6 weeks, and I'm healing pretty well! I'm starting work back up this week, which will include working on this comic...before surgery, I'd managed to start in on lineart and a little bit of coloring for a couple of pages. I'm really hoping to make a lot more progress on it this year, and hopefully start pushing it out somewhere in there!
