Hello reader(s), and welcome to my project page.

Here I go by miru(they/them/any) and post thoughts which allegedly qualify as philosophy. As much as I’d like to say that my thoughts are special—that they come from some sort of innate wisdom or intellect on my part—they are in reality driven by feelings and beliefs just like anyone else’s. I know that there’s no fundamental guarantee that anything that I think or say is more right than the blabbering of any other entity on the internet, so what am I doing here?

Throughout my time online and my day to day life, I often hear someone’s opinion and think that they’re wrong and I’m right. I find that in these situations, regardless of how strong my initial convictions, i tend to second guess myself. After all, I’m the person who has the most vivid memories of all the times I’ve been embarrassingly wrong; all the times I’ve said the wrong thing, acted the wrong way, and felt the shame of having messed up. This page is themed around the thoughts I’ve come up with in response to my second guessing and overthinking. While it will likely touch on many different topics, its main focus will be on reconciling the feeling that I am right with the worry that I am wrong, justifying how I should be allowed to feel, and constantly thinking to prove I’m not wrong.

If you've read this far and want to continue, I'm glad to hear it. Thanks for visiting my page.

Just typing out something real quick as a test to see what posts on this page will look like. I haven't really managed to sit down and write out much yet, but I do have a semblance of a plan for what I'd like to write about, so we'll see where that goes from here. For now, anyone who stumbles across... Continue reading
