Project Pages Update

Posted by ty on Aug 07, 2024

Hello everyone-

We have been working hard on Comradery and are closing in on what we are calling a ‘Beta’ milestone. Many changes have been made, and I am going to try to do a better job of maintaining these development updates. Thanks for all of your support and we’re really looking forward to the next update -

Complete Redesign of Project Pages with new design options for Creators.

-Project pages have been reconfigured for better accessibility, less Comradery branding, and an overall design refresh.
-Creators now have 4 toggleable options to ‘maximize’ or ‘minimize’ different elements to customize how project pages are laid out. These options are in the Creator Dashboard in the ‘Configure Page’ section.
-The top 3 tiers are now shown above the description instead of below, and more tiers are behind a button. This area can also be hidden. Soon, you will be able to decide which 3 tiers show in this area.

- Limitation: Dark ‘brand colors’ can look bad and have poor accessibility, so you may need to change your project’s Brand Color to be lighter.

Funding Goals/Milestones

- Creators can now add a series of funding goals or milestones to their projects, which will show an animated progress bar on the project page of the next unreached goal.

- You can create a Funding Goal in the Creator Dashboard in the ‘Fund Goal’ section.

AI Crawlers/scrapers blocked.

- A long list of AI crawler bots from Google, OpenAI, and more have been blocked from scraping and consuming data from Comradery. Google search indexing and other search engines are allowed.

Major Bugs Fixed

-Fixed an exploit that allowed some users to see locked posts they were not allowed to see.

-Fixed how projects were having their support numbers over-reported because old canceled subscriptions were not being removed

- ‘TinyMCE’, the text editor we use, had numerous issues with failing links and text not looking the same between pages and emails. The majority of these problems have been fixed.

   - You can now add lists in your posts, both bulleted and numbered
  - You can now add horizontal lines in your posts

- Fixed a problem that editing a post caused a second email to be sent out to subscribers.

- When subscriptions failed there was no error explaining the problem. Errors now correctly appear and notify the user why a subscription failed during checkout.
