Chapter 10 is DONE!!!

All the time, trial and error of yet another 'new' voice, and throat issues keeping me from working on the Audio, this chapter is Finally done as of today. I hope that Chapter 11 will be kinder to me.

Now... it's been quite a while since I talked here from my last post, where I opened up quite a bit, all things considered. I'm not sure on what else to talk about. Not for lack of trying... but I suppose talking about inspirations should be alright.

Firstly... why an alien first-contact story?

Well, it's probably a direct off-shoot of my childhood interests. Anthropromorphic animals, some animated movies here and there, and also the movie Arrival. Never actually seen it, but it may have been the most effective work to come out "recently" to help put a more 'mature' version of these ideas into my head as an adult. I suddenly remembered how much I just find these weird, sudden but also anxiously calm events so fascinating. Especially for people who are not human-sized, but that'll come later.

Okay... now... why blue lizard-tail bird-talon dogs???

Honestly, it's because it's from when I was a kid. I was trying to come up with original creature ideas, and as I got older, this was the one that actually got the most developed and felt right to try to move on from my old kid's 'superhero story' ideas with. And in case anybody's wondering... the superhero's name was Jenethan Derkens. Just because.

...well, I actually was wondering about the weird changing spaceship...

Oh, that. I'll actually give you more information about that later in the story, but... It's moving because it's alive! Living metal! Or at least... it acts like it's alive. People are saying things. More at 11.

Okay but why is it there?

Hmm... I'm a bit unsure of that myself, in all seriousness. I suppose it comes from the same inspirations as for making this story about alien first-contact, but it could easily come from a place like... Sam Raimi's Spider-Man 3 from 2007. Or something like that.

Wait- in Chapter 9 there was something about 'brown furred, much smaller creatures'! What the heck is that about?!

...
Something to discuss another time, most certainly.

Thank you to everyone who reads this, and I hope to see you on this project sometime soon!
