Happy opening, Fringe! I hope everyone who is actually working shows is feeling ready and rested for the month ahead. Watching y'all is making me feel tired, and I'm not even doing anything.

I'm writing this from sunny West Philly, finishing up the last day of a residency at the Dyke+ ArtHaus, a community space near and dear to my heart. The biggest takeaway from this residency is that a piece that I thought was a one-act is, in fact, a two-act. This is not the first time this has happened to me, but it pisses me off all the same. What do you MEAN I have a whole other act to work with?!
