Hi friends,
here's the spot art for this month! I've been working with some more textured brushes for some of these, I like getting to go back and forth between looser drawing styles & more careful pen & ink style.
Kind of related, I started learning about ceramics this summer, and here are a few of the things I have made:
( I realised that mostly what I want to make is weird little creatures)
It's really nice to take a little break from drawing sometimes, work with different materials & try things I have never done before. 
I also think that having more practice thinking about 3d forms is helping my drawing skills- lately I've been practicing drawing faces by drawing a human skull first & then drawing the face on top (to try to get around the problem of flattening out the features without realising it). I'm taking a sculpture class this month & I'm planning on trying to sculpt a realistic human skull, to use as a drawing referance. (Maybe life-size? That would be cool to have around).
