Hi Friends,
Here's a little preview of the March Spot Art Collection, which was fun to do as everything was so different. It feels like a good art workout to have to jump from subject to subject like that. The gnome is getting directions from a marmot, delightful creatures I saw a bunch of in Colorado last summer, eating greenery and completely not caring that I was there. I drew the Elf Fashions cause i got really sick this month and just wanted to be self indulgent and think about clothes, and my theory about elves is: on account of being immortal they all have huge wardrobes & elf seers take note of the fashions when they look into the future, so they wear modern stuff too. I think that their architecture would also be this way and i am going to draw some Elf Architecture this month to figure out what that would look like. (probably a mess? but I think it would be really interesting if the otherworldly thing about elves was not that they are ethereal & connected to nature but that instead, they are impossible to pin down aesthetically and do not fit in anywhere but they always look amazing anyway).
Other things that I am working on:

art for the new edition of Cairn. (Here you can see my questionable methodology of drawing in ink without really planning anything or sketching anything on two sheets of paper taped together). The Cairn kickstarter is up here and it is going to be really grand & full of art by Keny Widjaja & Bruno Prosaiko & Roque Romero & me. My favorite thing I've done for this book is designed a trio of adventurers to put in the spot art, so you can see the same little group getting into trouble & relaxing in the margins of the text.
The book is gonna be really lush & the next stretch goal is an adventure by Zedeck Siew!
I've also been working on art for a new Liminal Horror book, lots of drippy watercolors.

And I made a little game on this new app called Downpour: https://downpour.games/ which is a very easy to use tool to make interactive fiction with pictures: it's really easy to learn & the image editing is surprisingly nice on mobile. Here is my little haunted house: https://downpour.games/~amanda_lee/240310

I hope you are having a nice spring,
Amanda
